SUSAN CRAWFORD

BIO: Susan and Allen Crawford founded Plankton Art Company in 1996.

 

As an illustrator, artist, and designer, Susan has worked on a wide array of creative projects: museum exhibits, surface design, educational content, advertising campaigns, animation, packaging, children's product design, logos, licensing and gallery shows.

 

Our commitment to wildlife conservation and education, often takes us beyond our studio and out in the field. We rescue injured animals, volunteer in trail maintenance, plantings, and pick up trash on illegal dump sites. In 2004 Allen and I received citations from the Coast Guard and Tri State Bird Rescue for cleaning and rehabbing birds affected by the Anthos I oil spill along the Delaware River. I also have a citation from NASA for a children’s educational outreach program during their 2017 Total Solar Eclipse event at Homestead National Park.
